Ojukwu’s ‘Son’ Drags Family To Court, Demands N100mn

The legal tussle within the family of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu shows no sign of abating with Debe Odumegwu-Ojukwu suing the family for N100 million for refusing to allow him perform the funeral rites of the Biafran war lord.

Debe, a former police officer, is urging the Federal High Court, Lagos, to stop the family’s “serial and sustained threats to maim or kill him.”
The Igbo leader died in November 2011.
Mr. Debe said that the refusal to allow him perform the dust-to-dust funeral rites of the late Odumegwu-Ojukwu is ‘illegal and unlawful” and amounts to a violation of his rights.
“The discrimination against the applicant in performing the dust-to-dust funeral rites in honour of his deceased father during his burial obsequies…. being his first and eldest son, and the consequent loss of self esteem and good standing before his immediate family, peers and the whole world,” Mr. Debe said in his court papers.
He added that the family’s exclusion exposed him to “public derision, great distress, mental torture, psychological disorientation, public odium, ridicule, and obloquy.”
Joined in the suit are Ojukwu Transport Limited; Joseph Ojukwu; Emmanuel Ojukwu; Lotanna Ojukwu; and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
Others are Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Junior); Patricia Ojukwu; Margaret Mogbo (nee Ojukwu); Inspector General of Police; Ibrahim Muktar, former Anambra State Commissioner of Police; and Mike Okoli, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anambra State.
Mr. Debe, who is also a lawyer, is representing himself in the suit.
In his response, Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Junior) insisted that Mr. Debe is not the son of his late father.
“The applicant, to the best of my knowledge, as well as to the Ojukwu family, is not and has never been a grand-child of the late Sir L.P.O Ojukwu.
“The applicant is not the son or the first son of my father, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
“The last Will and Testament of my late father, dated the 9th day of July 2005, duly certified by the Probate Registry Enugu, did not include the name of the claimant in the list of his eight children.
“I was listed as No. 2 and the eldest male child. He (late Ikemba Nnewi) specifically named me as his ‘first son’,” Mr. Emeka said.
Mr. Emeka referred to a paragraph in the will of the late leader where he listed his eight children with a preceding statement which read: “the following and no others….”
“The issue of the applicant (Mr. Debe) being a son of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and therefore entitled to perform any of the traditional rites he alleges as being denied, is the subject of Suit No. LD/1528/2012 between him and some respondents,” Mr. Emeka stated in his response.
“The applicant was not prevented from performing the traditional funeral rites for a man he claims to be his father.
“Nnewi community has its customs and these are respected by all indigenes of Nnewi community. A son cannot be prevented from doing what the custom permits him to do,” he added.
Justice Okon Abang has fixed October 7 for the hearing of the case.

I Want Osaze, Nsofor Back on The Team – Steven Keshi

Nigeria's coach Stephen Keshi has said that the national team can still use the help of veteran striker Osaze Odemwingie and Captain Joseph Yobo
These players who when excluded took to the public to show their dissactifaction with the Coach's call has been given a lifeline back only if they will accept to be a team and not try to divide it
Speaking after the Confredations Cup Keshi said “They should just be themselves, play their game,” Keshi said. “Yobo is still my captain. It’s unfortunate that he’s not here, but he’s still the captain of the team.
“Taiwo is still playing but I have younger players that are playing well. I have Juwon (Oshaniwa), who is not here. I have Benjamin Francis, and I have (Elderson) Echiejile, whose performance has improved greatly. So it will be a difficult thing for Taiwo to get back in
“For Osaze, he still has a place in the team.
I’m not looking for an apology from him. Osaze is somebody that I like very well and he knows that. The thing is, it’s about the team that I’m worried about.
I don’t want to have a player that will come in and divide the team, or want to come and do something to destabilise the team, because when the team is not together, it becomes very difficult to win.
I’m not saying he is going to come in and do that, but a little bit of what he has shown has told me that this is possible.
I really want to have him on the team, and I would like to give him another opportunity.”
One player that Keshi says he really wants to see back in the national team is Obinna Nsofor, along with Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi Martins.
“The person I am really keen on having is Obinna Nsofor.

Unfortunately, each time I call him, he’s always injured. Hopefully next time he will be fit.”

Security Man Breaks ATM, Steals N12m

A security man and employee of First Bank Nigeria Plc, Jibowu Branch, Seyi Jaiyeola, is standing trial at a magistrate's court in Ebute Meta for allegedly breaking the company's automated teller machine and stealing a sum of N12, 533,900.

The bank's branch Service Manager, Mr. Kayode Aiyewunmi, who gave evidence in court, said Jaiyeola was on a N20, 000 monthly pay and was a member of the Odua People's Congress.

He said the company had observed that one of the bank's four ATMs was having a reconciliation problem and had employed the service of an expert to help unravel mysterious disappearances of money.

Aiyewunmi said, "We discovered that there was always a shortage of cash in the machine.

"Despite our reconciliation efforts, the ATM was still having problems and we engaged the service of an expert who submitted his report and said the machine did not have any reconciliation issue.

"He said somebody was breaking into the machine in the middle of the night to steal the cash.

"I reported the matter to my boss, who said I should conduct an investigation into the matter. "When the last breakage happened, we went to play back the branch's CCTV, and we now saw Jaiyeola in the middle of the night, opening the window at the back of my office. There's a control panel which controls the security door, which he touched. So, the CCTV stopped."

He said it was at that point the company concluded he was the brain behind the theft.

He said after the matter was reported at the Onipanu Police station, and the accused was arrested, he led them to his house, where he allegedly confessed to the crime.

Aiyewunmi said, "When we got to his house for a search, we recovered N243,945 cash. The police then asked him what else he did with the money. He said he bought a car, which was parked at the house there, a Toyota Corolla. Then we recovered a new generator. He also took the police to the building he was constructing which was near completion." He said after recovering the item, First Bank transferred the matter to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.

Jaiyeola was arraigned on a five counts of fraud and stealing and was subsequently granted bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum.

The prosecution counsel, Mr. Ishola Samuel, asked for an adjournment to help source some legal citations.

The magistrate, Mrs. M.O Tanimola, adjourned the matter till July 15.

Woman Kills Husband And Herself While Trying To Park Her Car (Photo)

A woman driver killed her husband and crushed herself to death while attempting to park her car.
The accident happened as the recently-qualified driver tried to reverse her Lexus SUV into a space in an underground car park in Fenghua, China.
photo
The 41-year-old woman had only passed her driving test five weeks before and was practising reverse-parking, helped by her husband - who was guiding her into the tight spot.
But instead of easing into the space, she backed in too quickly - pinning her spouse against a wall.
After hearing his screams, tried to free him by accelerating, while she leaned out of her window.
But she had forgotten to change out of reverse gear - and crushed him and her own head against the concrete partition.
The alarm was raised by the couple's six-year-old daughter who was in the car at the time and witnessed the double-tragedy.
But ambulance crew members declared the couple dead at the scene.

Popular comedian, AY, has proved to be a man with heart of gold as he urged his fellow entertainers to stop the embarrassment of asking ordinary Nigerians to donate ‘just’ N15m for their colleague, OJB, who is down with Kidney failure.

Below is a photo of Nigeria's music talented producer, OJB Jezreel who is down with kidney problem and needs a transplant.

He has called on well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aide and a committee has been set up to help raise the money. Some of his colleagues like Don-Jazzy donated 1million, Ruggedman and a few others have also donated.

The rapper later told Thenet.ng, ‘it is unfortunate that this is happening to a man who has given a lot to see others make something out of their careers.
I know we will get through all of this’.

I Have Plans To Go Back To School - Tuface Idibia

Innocent Idibia popularly known as Tuface Idibia in an interview talks about his music, kids and plans for his education.
фото
When asked if Tuface is a player, he replied, "If I were a player, they wouldn’t have caught me like that."
And on his role as a father, Tuface who has six kids from different women said it has not been easy, sometimes his work entails a lot of travelling and as such he does not see his kids as often as he wants to and although he had planned to have just one wife and kids, he has accepted things the way they have turned out.
When asked if he'll have qualms about his children following his footsteps, he simply said, "he won't discourage any of his children if they decide to follow in his footsteps musically. As a matter of fact, he'll be a good adviser."
A good thing though is that Tuface definitely plans to go back to school to get a law degree but he is not certain when that will be.
On why it took so long to settle with his wife Annie, he said, "I don’t really have an answer to that question, because I don’t know. I can’t explain why I don’t have an answer to that, but somehow, by the grace of God, we are still together."
So, why Tuface/2Face?
According to the artistes, it is a way of letting his fans know that his public and private lives are two separate entities. So the Tuface they see in the public, on TV, in papers, and hear on the radio is the public figure, who is different from who he really is.
We can say it's a case of Tuface(the star) and Innocent (the man).
On fame and worth?
Tuface says fame "takes away your privacy and freedom to do some kind of simple, basic things. Like I can’t go to Iya Christopher to sit down and eat amala, the way I dey do before". And as touching money/value, he says, "I never gather, but I dey try."
Tuface has also attributed his journey so far to hard work, his fans and the grace of God.

In a tweet fired off Monday afternoon, the rapper (who lost a Reebok endorsement over a lyric in which he boasted of drugging and having sex with a woman without her knowledge) said that he had touched down in the "country of Africa":

DHQ Official Statement: Nigerian Troops Capture Boko Haram Leaders, Recover Weapons

DHQ Official Statement: Nigerian Troops Capture Boko Haram Leaders, Recover WeaponsThe Nigerian troops deployed to Yobe and Borno have reportedly captured some notorious leaders of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, and recovered various weapons.
Brigadier General Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.
In the statement, Mr. Olukolade gave the report of a nine-member Defence Headquarters Operational Assessment Team, sent by the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ola Ibrahim, to the two states.
Mr. Olukolade said the team visited troop locations in various parts of Borno and Yobe.
“The commanding officer narrated the conduct of the operation to rid the (Sambisa) forest of the insurgents who had made the location their sanctuary,” he said.
The spokesman quoted the commanding officer as saying that some notorious leaders of the terrorists had been captured while some materials recovered in their camp had provided useful intelligence for subsequent operations. He did not name the captured Boko Haram leaders.
“The team was shown the various weapons, including rockets and locally fabricated weapon accessories captured in the forest,” he said.
Mr. Olukolade informed the items recovered included a large number of Improvised Explosive Devices- making materials, laptops, mobile communication equipment used for shooting and posting online videos, as well as locally made rockets and rocket launchers.
“Also, seized vehicles of different brands were shown to the team.
“Several vehicles destroyed by the terrorists as well as their tailoring equipment apparently used in producing fake uniforms were also shown to the team,’’ he said.
He said the commanding officer told the team that the unit suffered casualties in men and equipment.
The defence spokesperson said troops were currently engaged in night and day patrols of the area to dominate the forest and apprehend any terrorist who might be lurking around. He said the Chief of Defence Staff expressed satisfaction with the high level of successes so far recorded in the operation.
Mr. Olukolade said he thanked the troop for a job well-done, and urged members not rest on their oars until the entire region is fully sanitised and cleared of all terrorist activities.
He said the troops were assured of regular logistic support.

Injuries Ruined Eagles Play on the Confed Cup - Keshi

Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, was a sober figure after the team lost 3-0 to Spain in its last group game on Sunday and thus crashed out of the ongoing Confederations Cup holding in Brazil and has already started a post mortem.
Injuries Ruined Eagles Plans on the Confed Cup - Keshi
Team’s Media Officer Ben Alaiya, quotes Keshi as saying despite his bold face on injuries to some of his key players, it turned out that injuries actually decimated the performance of the team at the tournament.
“I can’t imagine that my top striker Emmanuel Emenike will miss some of the goals that we missed and even Ogenyi Onazi was sorely missed, Victor Moses would have ruined any team here and, of course, several other players that should have been here could not make it due to injuries. Among them United States based Bright Dike.
Keshi then declared that he knows exactly what to do while appealing to Nigerians to forgive the team for the less than average performance at the tournament. He promised that the team will come good in the World Cup qualifiers. “We want to come back here next year and make an impact.
This is a dress rehearsal and I can assure that the Super Eagles will be among the top nations when the Brazil 2014 World Cup starts”, he said.
Keshi also revealed that he has fresh options for the national team when the team resumes for the final World Cup qualifier match against Malawi in September.
On his next move, Keshi says he is ready to qualify Nigeria for the first time for the African Nations championships meant for players playing in the local leagues of countries in Africa (CHAN). “We would go back home take a few days rest and prepare for our CHAN qualifiers against Cote d’Ivoire in the coming days and hopefully we should be able to make it through”, he said.

Woman's Breasts Explodes

A woman's breast implant ruptured after lying on her stomach for four hours playing a game on her phone.
According to Chinese news reports, the woman from Beijing had been playing the game in bed when she felt a pain in her chest.
She was taken to hospital and SZNews reports that a doctor said the low quality of the implant, combined with the pressure of lying on it for an extended period of time, had caused the rupture.
The women was apparently playing an iPhone game called Dragon Summon.
It is not clear if the woman had the breast implant replaced - she apparently had the surgery to boost her low self-esteem.
In 2011, a woman's breast implant was apparently ruptured when she was shot in the chest while paintballing.
 photo
The 26-year-old was hit at close range during the game in Croydon, south London.
Although she did not make a complaint at the time, she went to her GP two days later who told her that the implant had been punctured.
The company which runs the centre have since issued extra padding to all women with breast implants.
Last year a Texas woman filed a lawsuit claiming that one of her breast implants ruptured because a police officer used excessive force during her arrest.

Pregnant' Teen Boys Ads Aimed to Stop Unwanted Pregnancies

PHOTOS: 'Pregnant' Teen Boys Ads Aimed to Stop Unwanted Pregnancies
Chicago, U.S. -- When you first see Chicago's new teen pregnancy campaign, you will probably have to do a double take. The ad boasts a shirtless teenage boy sporting a baby bump with the tag line: "Unexpected? Most teen pregnancies are. Avoid unplanned pregnancies and STIs. Use condoms. Or wait."
Our eyeballs are so acclimated to Photoshop by now that doctored images lose their shock value pretty quickly. That said, these alarming pics of pregnant boys are burned into our brains forever.
The ads, created by the Chicago Department of Public Health, debuted in late April and are plastered on the Chicago Transit Authority trains, buses, platforms and bus shelters all throughout the city. Similar ads were featured in Milwaukee last year with the city seeing a decline in teen pregnancies.
Advocates hope the visual assault, accompanied by the tagline, will make kids realize that girls aren’t the only ones affected by teen pregnancy.
What do you think of this idea, of the 'message' behind the visual art?

Man Mutilates Own Penis, Says Mushrooms Made Him Do It

Man Mutilates Own Penis, Says Mushrooms Made Him Do It
U.S. -- A man from Ohio (41) almost died after he tore off part of his penis while being intoxicated.
Local Sheriff's deputies thought they were responding to a burglar alarm in Detroit last Tuesday, but instead had to deal with a "screaming naked man."
A police spokesperson reported to the local newspaper that they found the man kneeling outside a school building, covered in blood from the waist down.
"He really wasn't saying much at all — a lot of yelling and screaming," the officer explained. "He wasn't making sense. They couldn't really communicate with him in terms of constructive conversation."
As seen from the police reports, the man later explained he had been visiting friends, who gave him hallucinogenic — or "magic" — mushrooms.
There is no history of this man using drugs or having mental health issues.
When police found him, he had been near death.
"In terms of vital signs, they were as low as they could go without being dead — I could only assume due to the blood loss and the shock and trauma to the body," the spokesperson said.
"We've sent his blood off for further analysis to see if there was anything else, if the mushrooms could have been laced with something," he added.

Nigeria Loses 2-1 To Uruguay in Confederations Cup

Mikel Obi rarely scores but on a night that he won his 50th cap for Nigeria he scored the goal that had given the Super Eagles hope in the game against Uruguay in the FIFA Confederations Cup holding in Brazil.
The goal from the Chelsea star in the 37th minute of the Group B game was a response to the opener by Diego Lugano who hit the first goal of the game with a tap-in for the South Americans in the 19th minute.
photo
Mikel whose last goal for Chelsea was in January 2007 off a cup game, was the heart of the team in a match he scored the fourth for his country. Before the quality goal in Salvador, the midfielder last scored for the country in Calabar in October 2012. But if Mikel’s goal was superb, Diego Forlan’s hit was priceless as the Uruguayan put his country ahead in the 51st minute on the night he won his 100th cap.
That goal became the difference between both countries with the South Americans gaining the better chance of reaching the semi-finals. They will play against the competition underdogs Tahiti on Sunday while the Eagles have the uphill task of beating world champions Spain to have any possible chance to qualify. All the Uruguayans need is to beat Tahiti more than the 6-1 handed them by Nigeria.
Before the loss in Salvador, the Eagles had gone unbeaten in 18 games. The Uruguay are now unbeaten in 12 competitive matches against African countries with eight wins and four draws. Uruguay and Nigeria met for the first time in a competitive match with the Confederations Cup game.
In the first match of the night, Spain won by a landslide as expected but tiny Tahiti emerged with their reputation enhanced and their dignity intact despite their 10-0 loss to the world and European champions.
Fernando Torres scored four times, and missed a penalty, David Villa hit three, David Silva two and Juan Mata one as Spain scored double figures for the third time in their history. The outcome of one of the most unlikely matches ever to take place in a senior FIFA competition was never in doubt and even Tahiti coach Eddy Etaeta said before the game his side’s chances of winning were “quite impossible”.
Tahiti’s first-ever meeting with European opposition was more of an occasion and even though the Pacific Islanders lost they will always remember the day they played the world champions at the revered Maracana Stadium

Mikel Obi Denies Galatasaray Move

Jon Obi Mikel has denied making comments about a move to Galatasaray attributed to him in Turkey.
photo
Chelsea’s Nigerian midfielder had been quoted as saying he was close to a move to the Turkish side, and that he had discussed it with their striker and his former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba.
But Mikel has denied giving the interview and insisted that he never said the words.
Chelsea are looking at midfield reinforcements this summer, as Jose Mourinho tries to put his stamp on the squad.
The Independent reported earlier in the week they were seriously looking at Sevilla’s 20-year-old Geoffrey Kondogbia.
Chelsea are also thought to be keen on Wigan Athletic’s James McCarthy, likely to leave after Wigan’s relegation, and Marco Van Ginkel, the Holland Under-21 player currently at Vitesse.

Okorocha’s Convoy Attacked By Thugs

Photo - Okorocha’s Convoy Attacked By Thugs
Governor Rochas Okorocha’s convoy was attacked yesterday in Oguta Council Area of the state by youths allegedly recruited by a candidate for the rescheduled Imo House of Assembly elections scheduled to hold next week.
It gathered that Governor Okorocha, who was in Awa community in Oguta to drum up support for Chief Walter Uzonwanne, the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the election slated for next week was on his way out of the community when an opposition candidate was also on his way to Awa community.
According to an eyewitness account, one of the outriders on the Governor Okorocha convoy had knocked down one of the motorcyclists on the campaign train of the candidate and that instead of the security details on the governor’s convoy to assist the man, they descended on the hapless man and started beating him.
It was learnt that the attitude of the governor’s security men angered the youths, who blocked the passage of the governor as the youths reportedly descended on one of the outriders, who was beaten to stupor by the irate youths and was dispossessed him of his walkie-talkie.
“For several hours, the irate youths barricaded the road and prevented the governor’s convoy from continuing on the journey while some of them were throwing sachet water and other objects at the security operatives, who ordered them to vacate the road.”
It was further gathered that the situation could have degenerated to bloodshed but for the prompt intervention of the governor, who directed his security aides to handle the situation with utmost care.
However, when contacted, the candidate described the allegation as unfortunate, insisting that he had no powers to attack a governor’s convoy.
In his words: “I was going to Awa community to address my supporters ahead of next week’s election when I saw the governor’s convoy coming from the opposite direction. At first I thought it was the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha.
“One of the outriders knocked down one of the motorcycle riders in my campaign train and the boy was seriously wounded and instead of giving him first aid, the security men pounced on him and began to beat him and this infuriated the youths and they blocked the road and asked the governor to kill all of them.

How Nigerian Celebrities Are Killing Themselves

Apparently basking in the euphoria of a new status, many Nigerians in showbiz throw caution in the wind in the process of “living it up”.
These days, hardly does a month end without news of someone in Nollywood or the Music industry, getting involved in car accident or public brawl...
photo

This comes as no surprise, especially to those who are in the know of the background of today’s stars. Most of them, even in wildest dreams, never thought they would attain their current standing in the society. In fact, not only do they talk about the rise to fame in interviews, they also author books and record songs on it.

It is worrisome that the mints these guys stack in bank accounts have overwhelmed them, so much that some can no longer think properly. In 2013 alone, there have been at least a dozen auto crash involving celebrities. On the average, that is a scary 2 to 3 cases per month. Names like Samklef, Danagog, Maye Hunter, America, Nashville, Asa and others form the lot.

The most recent involving fabulously talented Ayo “Wizkid” Balogun, rattled virtually every music lover; this is because the young man is adored by the younger generation.
photo
The 23-year old has everything going on well. Good looks, sold out concerts, record sales, endorsement for big-paying coys, successful international tours, connection to foreign superstars, huge fan base, that feminine attraction, houses and expensive cars, what is more? He now has his record label, StarBoy Entertainment, with three acts including Legendary Beatz signed on.

Weeks ago, the "I Love My Baby" and "Pakurumo" crooner posted a picture of his newly acquired Porsche Panamera. The car is priced at $80, 000 – $150, 000 (depending on the sub-model). As expected, the photo went viral on social media. But by 0400 hours of Saturday June 15, 2013, the same car had become a wreck. The gist – as always – is that a tyre of the automobile burst while on motion.

While we all thank God for sparing the lives of our stars, isn’t it time we ask some questions. Bearing in mind the busy schedules, why would someone driving a car worth N15million not take such for regular checks? Or are expensive cars immune from faults?

It is an open secret that our acts, and their entourage, sometimes use “active agents” before and after attending/performing at events. It is also an open secret these artistes or their friends sometimes get behind the wheels under the influence of alcohol. But nobody is saying anything, solely because of the blind love we have for them. I am not saying this happened in the case of Wizzy, but it does happen.
Some find the demise of celebrities too hard to bear. This is understandable, as despite harsh government policies and dwindling economy, they are able to make us happy; they put smile on our faces; they liven up our homes, streets, vehicles, clubs and parties and so on.

Our celebrities have a responsibility to look after themselves and not live life like there is a duplicate kept somewhere. They should for goodness sake be more careful while on the road; they should ensure those around them are the type that of positive influence; they should do away with hard drugs and excessive alcohol; they should reciprocate our affection by staying focused and do only the right things at all times. These crashes are becoming too many; we don’t want to pass through another agony please!

If you think you are popular and then go about ‘feeling fly’, the day you die an avoidable death, your name will trend for a few days; news sites and blogs will as usual talk about it for, at most, two weeks. The rest of us will move on. Live continues. Shikena

I Regret Not Doing A Song With Fatai Rolling Dollar - 2Face Idibia

The death of veteran musician, Fatai Rolling Dollar shocked some Nigerians even though he died at a ripe age of 86.
He was the oldest active musician in Nigeria. While he was alive, he helped many up and coming artistes in Nigeria.

One artiste that has reacted to the death of the late iconic artiste is 2Face Idibia, who is also heading to be a legend in the Nigerian music industry.

Reacting recently, 2Face reportedly regretted that he didn’t do a collaboration with Rolling Dollar before he died.
He said, “regrettably, I didn’t have the opportunity of recording with him but I was in a show where he performed too. I performed alongside him.

the two time world cup winner cafu warns balotelli to control his temper on the pitch

the former Brazilian international CAFU have warn BALOTELLI  of his hot temper on the pitch and said he would be one of the best player in the world if he will calm his temper.
The 22-year-old netted the winner in Italy's 2-1 Confederations Cup win over Mexico on Sunday, but made the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier this month when he was booked twice - and subsequently sent off - within four minutes of the Azzurri's World Cup 2014 qualifier against Czech Republic.

And the Brazil legend has urged the AC Milan forward to make the most of his talent, while warning him to curb his temper on the field.

"Balotelli could become one of the greats of the game. He has a particular character, though. He must learn to control himself in order to give his best on the pitch," the Brazilian told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 43-year-old then went on to praise Neymar as he feels his compatriot, too, has the potential to become one of the best players in the world.

"Neymar is an incredibly strong player. He can become a real star as well," he added.

Cafu has been linked with the position of sporting director at Roma following Franco Baldini's recent departure and he has admitted that the Serie A side have contacted him about a return.

"There has been contact and I think that there will soon be news... A future as coach? I'm not ready yet, but I'm studying to become one. We'll see," Cafu revealed.

The former right back wore the Roma jersey from 1997 until 2003, winning one Serie A title during his time at the club.

jamb to host meeting on tuesday for university cutt off mark

Reaching us from jamb
Meeting will be held on 18th june 2013 for the issue of  university cut off mark due to mass failure in jamb.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday reacted to the 192 complaints received from candidates who sat for the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, at a meeting in Abuja with some of the candidates who filed the complaints, said it was imperative to clear the doubt of the public about the UTME.
Ojerinde said that there was an open complaint from the media which amounted to a threat to the integrity of the organisation.
He said that out of the 192 candidates who filed their complaints, 132 candidates requested that their examination scripts be remarked, while 63 requested to see their examination scripts.
“We are sure of what they scored, we are sure of the situation and we are sure of the true position of things, even with those who claimed that we did not release their results.
“But in the final analysis, you can see that they did not shade their subjects correctly, how can we release a result that is not known to us?.
“That was why we told the candidates to come on June 10 to see their papers and here we are, together with the complainants.
“We have been showing them their papers and so far, nobody has won. I can bet you, the damage done to our integrity is what we have come to protect.’’
The registrar, who reiterated JAMB’s determination to ensure transparency and accountability in the conduct of its examinations, added that “we have to be able to tell the people how we conducted the exams and how we scored them.
The JAMB boss said the organisation was not responsible for the failure of any candidate in the 2013 UTME, stressing that rather, the failure was due to double shedding and not following proper instructions as required.
He commended the aggrieved candidates for their boldness in writing their complaints to JAMB.
He directed that any complainant who must have paid the requested amount for the verification should be refunded.
Meanwhile, some of the complainants told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after the meeting that they were not pleased with the way and manner the UTME was conducted.
A complainant, Miss Chiamaka Nnadika, said she was not satisfied even after seeing her examination script.
Nnadika, however, commended JAMB for the steps taken to call for such an exercise.
“Such a meeting should also be held in the states, instead of people travelling from the east and the north to come to Abuja.
“It will be better if JAMB will organise such meetings in the 36 states of the federation so that people will understand their issues better.’’
Another complainant, Mrs Queen Wuhu, said she was not happy about the turnout of things.
“I was wondering why I failed my JAMB, that was why I wrote a complaint letter to JAMB that I wish to see my answer script but I was shocked with the findings that  I was actually the one who made the mistake by double shading.
“That means I am going to lose this year again, I will work harder next year.’’
Also present at the meeting were representatives of the Public Complaints Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

Woman With The Largest Butt Implants In The World

Vanity Wonder, author of book “Shots Girls” who herself spent over $15,000 on illegal butt and hip injections,  opened up about her addiction to butt injections.

photoVanity, who nearly died after contracting an infection from a shot.

Vanity became an internet sensation when she posted pics of her developing booty and all the hardships she faced.  She revealed,

‘When I heard about bútt injections I thought it sounded stupid but after a year in that environment as a dancer, everyone was doing it, it wasn’t such a foreign concept. I thought I might as well try it.

’Then it became a competition – not for men but against other women. So many of us were doing it because we wanted to better than the other person.’ ‘It did become addictive but it got infected so I was left with lumps. So I had a choice, I could have a medium-sized lumpy bútt or keep padding it with silicone to make it better. So it wasn’t my goal to get this big but padding it with silicone is how this happened.’

Vanity says she’s speaking out because she doesn’t want other women to get caught in the trap.  She claims it’s ok to get butt implants, but ladies should stay away from bútt injections.  She added,

photo‘Truthfully I would like smaller bútt but I’m happy I didn’t die and still here for my children. I did so much dumb stuff with my body I’m lucky that I’m still living. When I look in the mirror, I think I would like a smaller bútt, it’s hard to go shopping, but I’m just happy I’m still here.’

First Woman Amputee To Climb Everest

In 2011, 26-year-old Arunima Sinha lost one of her legs after she said she was thrown off a moving train when she resisted a group of robbers.

On 21 May, she stood on top of the world, defying all conceivable odds, and achieved what was unthinkable to many.
"I turned my artificial leg into my strength and stubbornly chose the most difficult sport for myself," says Ms Sinha, a former national-level volleyball player.
There are inspiring words from an extraordinary woman. Also, a stunning demonstration of how she turned her supposed weakness into a winning force.
"When I reached the summit, I felt like screaming at the top of my voice. I wanted to tell the world: here I am. I have saved that moment inside me," she says.
"Actually, my screaming did not last long. You see, I didn't have much energy left. Had I been a painter, I would have tried to capture that image on a canvas," she adds.
Darkest hour
Just two years ago, Ms Sinha says it was her "darkest hour". Her life changed when she was "pushed out of the train" after she refused to hand over her gold chain to robbers.
Police disputed her version - they said she was either attempting suicide or had jumped out to evade arrest for travelling without a valid ticket. The fate of the case is unknown.
Ms Sinha was admitted to hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries. Doctors had to amputate her left leg below the knee to save her life. A rod had to be inserted inside her leg to provide support to the damaged limb.
"I was shattered. Here was someone who was totally independent, and now I was dependent on others for support. Visitors who came to see me at the hospital showed sympathy. But then I decided to do something that would inspire others."
She says her family's support gave her immense confidence.

"I decided to challenge myself with the toughest sport. And I chased my dream with passion." Equipped with a prosthetic leg and an iron will, Ms Sinha rang up Bachendri Pal, the first Indian woman to scale Mount Everest in 1984, as soon as the hospital discharged her four months later.
She had read about Pal but did not know her personally. Pal heads an adventure foundation, supported by India's Tata Steel company, in the city of Jamshedpur in the eastern state of Jharkhand.
Sinha underwent a year of rigorous training in Uttarkashi in the northern state of Uttarakhand which demanded toughness - both physical and mental.
"I felt low when I couldn't catch up with other 'normal' able-bodied people. But I was determined to outpace them. And I did," she says.
It took her 52 days of torturous climbing on the snowy peaks to conquer the 8,850m summit.
At one point, fearing that her energy and oxygen levels were depleting fast, her team leader suggested that she return. But she refused.
While descending, she began to sweat so profusely that at one point she felt the prosthetic leg would slip out.
"I couldn't take off my gloves to support the leg for fear of frostbite, so I dragged myself till the camp," she says.
Ms Sinha has dedicated her achievement "to those who lose hope".
She is now busy with plans to open a sports academy for the poor and physically challenged children. For this purpose, she has already bought a piece of land in Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh.
"I want to train these children so that they achieve their dream. This is my dream too," she says.

Mario Balotelli Shuns Mum, But Buys £100K Engagement Ring For His Girlfriend

John Mikel Obi is set to defy Chelsea doctor’s orders and feature for the Super Eagles against Namibia on Wednesday, in a game that will be played on artificial pitch.
The midfielder has suffered a recurring back injury and was recently nursing ahip injury. This led to the club doctors insisting that he does not play on the hard surface of an artificial pitch.
However, Obi has shunned those instructions and is ready to do battle against the Brave Warriors, as Nigeria seeks to qualify for next year’s World Cup in Brazil. The player, who has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, trained on Monday, even as coach Stephen Keshi stated that he did not expect his players to struggle on the astro turf of the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
“I don’t expect us to have any problems with the pitch. We have trained on astro turf and just decided to use grass today (Monday). Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will train at the match ground again,” he said.
The temperature in Windhoek, was as low as 6 degrees on Monday, as the Eagles were put through their paces.

Scott Thorson, Liberace’s former live-in boyfriend, shared private details of his five-year romance with the flamboyant entertainer.
Today, Thorson drops a bombshell regarding Michael Jackson, claiming he andthe King of Pop shared an intimate, intimate relationshipin the eighties.

“Michael and I had a relationship that… would cross the boundaries,” Thorson reveals in an exclusive sit down with ET’s Christina McLarty. “That’s about all I’m comfortable saying… We were both young.”

While he concedes that not many will believe that he and Michael were lovers, he says that the two became unlikely friends while he was dating Liberace. After a period of friendship, their relationship blossomed into more.

Sleeping German banker accidentally transfers €222,222,222.22

At least he didn’t fall asleep on the “9″ key.
A German labor court ruled on Monday that a bank supervisor was unfairly dismissed for failing to notice that one of her employees had made a multi-million euro mistake on a transaction.
The employee had fallen asleep with his finger on his keyboard while pressing the number two, so instead of transferring €62.40 from a retiree’s bank account, he withdrew €222,222,222.22 ($295 million) instead.

Fortunately for the anonymous retiree, the transaction was spotted by another colleague and reversed. A court in Hesse, Germany, ruled that the supervisor should have been reprimanded, not fired, as her mistake was genuine and she had also checked 811 other documents that day.

Big Woman Nakéd and Runs Mad After Confessing She Uses Corpse Water In Her Restaurant

Imagine the extent some people go all in a bid to make "too much money" and oppress others. This is one of the reason why those who have made money legitimately are not respected at times as there is the temptation to lump all wealthy people as crooks, one way or the other.

This woman runs a popular restaurant where men and women troop in to eat, not know that they are eating away their destinies, in this Nigeria...

She is the owner of one of the most popular local restaurant (buka) in the Eleme area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. I hear the woman confessed last weekend to using spiritual means to entice customers, as well as take their “destinies.” True life story!

According to eye witnesses, the woman, said to be from Akwa Ibom state, suddenly ran mad while at her restaurant. She started acting bizarre, tore her clothes and started confessing in the presence of customers, her workers and passersby how she used diabolical means for the growth of her business.

According to a source, she said she mixes water used to bathe corpses with her food, as well as water from her privaté part and ménstruation blood. She said she did all these to attract customers whose “destinies” she used for the growth of her business and riches.

The news of her confession spread around town and many of those who have been going to her restaurant to enjoy themselves could not believe their ears. It was sad indeed! Some of her customers (including Okada men) and angry onlookers descended on her but she was rescued by Policemen.

12/06/2013 Share T.B. Joshua Opens Up About The Depth Of His Success Secret

Renowned Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua turns 50 on Wednesday June 12th 2013. In his characteristically unconventional style, he has called for the focus of the celebration to be redirected towards care for the less privileged and job creation for unemployed graduates.

Speaking on his popular broadcast platform Emmanuel TV, Joshua called on well-wishers who desired to give in cash or kind towards the golden occasion to channel such resources into charitable endeavours.

“The best way to celebrate this birthday is to be on your knees and thank God for the life of T.B. Joshua. Pray for the Church of God for a strong bond of love...
"Pray for your nation and the whole world and rededicate yourself to the acts of giving. Be a father to the fatherless and a benefactor to the needy. Raise the standard of living through the little you are going to invest,” Joshua exhorted congregants. “Those things you have for T.B. Joshua, even what you will spend on a greeting card, put it together and spend it on this commission.”

The noted philanthropist challenged viewers to examine the listed names on their phones, asking how many people were friends with the under-privileged or bedridden. “You must have many orphans and those on the sick bed as friends. Give them a call. Be a prayer partner with them and let them know there is hope. Become part of their family,” he passionately counselled.

He stated his priority project was facilitating the creation of jobs for frustrated graduates, calling on all in a position to support job-seekers to come forward. “We must get jobs for people who are jobless. This is the number one project for my 50th birthday. I am going to pursue it. Graduates are everywhere without a job. This birthday, it will be an assignment for me.”

He bemoaned the state of youth worldwide, stating a bleak future lay ahead if urgent action was not taken by those in a position to help. “If you listen to the graduates of today, you will be afraid of the future. If something is not done quickly, you will not be able to sleep and close your eyes in the future. Tomorrow will be very tough; we have to come together and do something now.”

Last week, the project began in earnest with Joshua facilitating the employment of 24 graduates in jobs, 22 of whom were not members of The SCOAN. He called on churches worldwide to join in the call for job creation with no strings attached. “If every church and organization embarks on telling people in the position to get graduates jobs instead of campaigning for money and prosperity, it will change the situation,” he stated.

He further added that these actions should not be determined by time or season. “When you start, don’t stop – let it be part of you forever. Your rewards in life are determined by how many people you have helped and the problems you have solved. This is the way the Lord wants us to celebrate this birthday at 50.”

On a personal note, Joshua said the occasion was a sober moment for appreciation of God’s goodness in his life and added determination for greater service to Him and humanity. “To whom much is given, much is expected. The Lord has given me so much in all areas of my life which I cannot reciprocate. What an undeserved blessing! At 50, I should be more grateful to God and show more commitment to His service,” the Nigerian pastor stated. Stressing that the source of his success lay in the closeness of his relationship with God, Joshua revealed, “If I could give you one clue to my success, I would say I took care of the depth of my relationship with God and He took care of the breadth of my success. Jesus will do the same for you!”

Born on June 12th 1963 in Ondo State, Nigeria, T.B. Joshua’s rise from a poverty-stricken home to an internationally renowned minister of God is nothing short of remarkable. With his birth shrouded in mystery, legend has it that Joshua was in his mother’s womb for 15 months. It is also claimed he narrowly avoided death seven days after his birth after a quarry explosion near his house sent rocks through its roof, missing him by inches.

From dropping out of secondary school in his first year to working in a poultry farm carrying chicken waste; from teaching little children while attending evening classes to washing people’s legs on the muddy streets of Lagos; from a forty day fast to receiving a divine call and starting a ministry with a mere eight members – the life of T.B. Joshua is indeed a journey of amazing grace. Today, countless thousands journey weekly to his abode in the heart of Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos to seek spiritual solace with millions more tuning in to watch what is reputed to be Africa’s most popular station, Emmanuel TV.
