Torres: Things are getting back to normal for me
The striker has only netted seven Premier League goals this term but has scored 22 overall in what he describes as "a good season" after winning the Europa League
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres believes that things are finally "becoming normal" for him again.

The former Liverpool star has struggled for consistency since joining from Liverpool but netted the first strike in the Blues' dramatic Europa League final win over Benfica, his 22nd of a campaign which he believes has been successful.

"It's been a good season for me," Torres told the club's official website. "Top scorer in the team, winning a trophy, scoring in the final. Things are becoming normal.

"We were expecting to win much more this season. We were playing for finals and it's not been easy. At the end I think we can say it's a good season but we're looking forward to the next one."

The Spaniard has largely been backed by the Chelsea fans despite his goalscoring troubles and the 29-year-old thanked the Stamford Bridge faithful for their support.

"I have no complaints about the fans. Not at all," he added. "They have been with me from the first day, especially when I most needed from the first season.

"It's not been an easy season for Chelsea fans, after going out of the Champions League and losing many important games.

"Now they can enjoy with the team. They can hold the Champions League and the Europa League [titles at the same time], just for a week. We must be very proud and they too are very proud of the team.
